Hartford is Connecticut's capital city,The West End of Hartford West-Enders feel an enormous sense of pride in their neighborhood. Locally-owned shops and restaurants provide a sense of community, and history abounds.

The Connecticut River Valley & The Farmington River Valley
When we say "The Farmington Valley", generally that means Avon, Simsbury and Farmington, those being the major town centers.
These towns have character, charm and plenty of historical sites. We have bed and breakfasts, inns, mills that have been converted to taverns; farms that are still farms but ones that are now other things, like recreation areas, polo grounds, camps or golf courses. And yes, a river runs through it all: the Farmington River. It is our most precious resource, providing 100% of the drinking water for the Greater Hartford area.
