East Granby was incorporated in June of 1858. It was once part of Simsbury. Covering 17.4 sq. miles and populated by 4,423 residents the town is located north central Connecticut and was originally part of the enormous plot of land in the Simsbury area granted to John Griffen of Windsor in 1663. Employment and the conveniences of shopping and cultural attractions are within easy reach in neighboring towns and urban centers. Nearby Bradley International Airport offers quick access to business travel. Neighborly suburban communities and outlying farmlands feature homes in many styles and price ranges, from early colonials and farmhouses, to modern designs and condominium complexes.
